This is an informational sheet on the special care taken in producing each piece.

Watercolours:

The watercolour paper used is professional watercolour paper.  The paint is artist quality acrylic polymer emulsion used with water.  The paintings are conservation framed, meaning the mat board which touches the painting is acid free, rag paper is behind, and the painting is sealed properly within the frame to prevent dust and moisture damage.

Acrylic on Paper:

(Prepared as with the watercolours above) The paint is acrylic polymer emulsion used with water and paint medium.  The paper used is 300 lb. watercolour paper.

Oils:

The canvases are stretched over sturdy supports/ extra support is added for larger canvases.  Additional layer of oil ground added for support.  The paint is Professional Artist oil colours (permanent).  Oil colours are mixed with stand oil; no turpentine is used except for first washes and cleaning brushes.  Fat over lean has been adhered to as strictly as possible and layers are dried before the next layer is applied.  Dammar varnish is added as a protective outer coat after a reasonable drying time.

Monoprints:

The printmaking paper used BFK Rives 250 or 280 lb. from France, 100 % rag.  The paint, medium, and retarder are all Liquitex products so that no chemical imbalance occurs.  The coloured pencils are Berol Prismacolors.  The monoprints are framed to museum standards.

Graphite works:

Artist quality pencils of varying softness are used.  Finished drawings are done on Rives or Rising Stonehenge paper.  Framing is museum standard.
